McCulley-Robertson Ball Diamond Renamed in Honor of Stan Rimmington

In summer 2024, Ball Diamond A at McCulley-Robertson Recreation Park was officially renamed Rimmington Diamond, recognizing Stan Rimmington’s incredible impact on Huntsville’s baseball community. A Huntsville Hall of Famer, Rimmington has been a driving force in local baseball for decades, helping grow the sport and inspire generations of young players.

With the full support of the McCulley and Robertson families, the renaming celebrates his lasting contributions—from running his long-standing fastball tournament to mentoring youth and advocating for active play. His dedication, spanning over 40 years, makes him more than deserving of this honor.

Rimmington Diamond now stands as a tribute to his legacy, ensuring that his commitment to the game continues to inspire future players in Huntsville.

Celebrating Holm Diamond

June 24th marked a very important date in the history of the Muskoka Hornets.  Just over 6 years after he passed away, former Hornets executive, coach and  baseball dad Mike Holm was honored posthumously with his number 25 retired officially by the Muskoka Hornets and the diamond at Kerr Park renamed Holm Diamond.

At a ceremony held on this date to honor Holm, the Muskoka Hornets 18U team, which includes Mike's son Mark and a call up for this event, younger brother Luke, were joined between games of a doubleheader with Innisfil to mark the important event.

Other local dignitaries including MPP Graydon Smith (pictured on right), Bracebridge Mayor Rick Maloney (pictured in middle) and Bracebridge Councilor (and former Hornets Coach) Barry Hammond (pictured on left).

From now on, we will be referring to all games at Kerr Park as Holm Diamond and encourage all our members and baseball fans in the community to visit the diamond where you will see Mike's #25 on the fence and a sign denoting the new diamond name.  This is a long overdue honor for Mike and his family.
