House League Rain Out Policy

House League “Rain Out Policy”

If at 4:25 pm on game day it is raining hard or the fields are too wet from raining that day or afternoon, management of the Hornets will send out a blast e-mail cancellation to all house league participants and this note will also be posted on our Twitter and Facebook pages so please like them. If the weather is fine at 4:25, but the weather forecast says chance of rain, there will NOT be a cancellation. We will play, and cancel during if we have to on site.  Therefore, if you do not receive a notice of cancellation or read or hear about it, then assume game on!

Muskoka Hornets - House League Opening Day - Saturday May 20 - Cancelled Due to Weather

Saturday May 20 should have been an exciting day for the Muskoka Hornets program as it was supposed to represent Opening Day for our house league program along with the start of game play for two of our travel baseball teams.

Huntsville Wins 2019 Twinkletoes Cup

For the first time in the three year history of the Twinkletoes  Cup, Huntsville is bringing home the hardware.  The Twinkletoes Cup, named after New York Yankee All Star and Huntsville native George Selkirk,  is an annual end of year competition pitting an all star team of house leaguers from Huntsville against Gravenhurst.  This year  it was the  rookie U9s that squared off, and game 1 on Wednesday ended in a 4-4 tie.  In the exciting return match on Thursday in Huntsville, the game ended 13-12 in favor of the locals and was won in dramatic  fashion, on a walk off.  Most important for everyone was the grace and dignity shown by all participants, as is evidenced by the joint photo of both teams in front of the trophy.  Cant wait for 2020.
