Can My Child Play House League and Travel Ball?
New policy for 2020 and beyond - For competitive balance reasons. we will not be allowing players on Muskoka Hornets travel baseball teams to also play house league for the 2021 season (with the exception of 9U players who will graduate to 11U next year. This cohort will be allowed to play 11U house league in order to gain familiarity with live pitching). The Hornets Board will revisit this policy decision at the end of the 2021 season.
What Does My Child Need to Play?
Each player should come equipped with an aluminum bat, batting helmet and jock/jill. Equipment should be able to be purchased at local sporting goods stores. Note: our league does have a limited supply of bats for each team.

House League “Rain Out Policy”
If at 4:25 pm on game day it is raining hard or the fields are too wet from raining that day or afternoon, management of the Hornets will send out a blast e-mail cancellation to all house league participants and this note will also be posted on our Twitter and Facebook pages so please like them. If the weather is fine at 4:25, but the weather forecast says chance of rain, there will NOT be a cancellation. We will play, and cancel during if we have to on site. Therefore, if you do not receive a notice of cancellation or read or hear about it, then assume game on!

Thank you for a great house league season and to our conveners Cam Boyd in Gravenhurst and Kate McNaughton in Huntsville and all the other untold volunteers for their tireless efforts to make our House League Program a success and enjoyable for all involved.
For the first time in the three year history of the Twinkletoes Cup, Huntsville is bringing home the hardware. The Twinkletoes Cup, named after New York Yankee All Star and Huntsville native George Selkirk, is an annual end of year competition pitting an all star team of house leaguers from Huntsville against Gravenhurst. This year it was the rookie U9s that squared off, and game 1 on Wednesday ended in a 4-4 tie. In the exciting return match on Thursday in Huntsville, the game ended 13-12 in favor of the locals and was won in dramatic fashion, on a walk off. Most important for everyone was the grace and dignity shown by all participants, as is evidenced by the joint photo of both teams in front of the trophy. Cant wait for 2020.
