The Muskoka Hornets will be holding try outs for a rookie ball (birth years 2008-2009) all-star team that will play some exhibition games and a couple tournaments this summer along with regular practices.

Try Out Schedule (no cost) – players can attend one or both try outs – if a player is unavailable for either try out, then please reach out to Jason for alternative arrangements.

First Try Out - Friday, June 2, McCulley Robertson Diamond B, 300 William St, Huntsville, ON – 6 pm to 8 pm

Second Try Out – Saturday, June 3, Gull Lake Diamond, Brock St and Bethune Dr., Gravenhurst, ON – 10 am – 12 pm

These try outs are weather permitting.

Cost to Play - $100 (over and above house league fees) – includes team shirt, player development, diamond rentals and tournament entry fees.  The team will play in up to 2 tournies in the summer including the Muskoka Cup on the weekend of July 21-23 in  Huntsville.

What is Involved? – the team will be formed after try outs and will likely practice once per week and organize some exhibition games on weekends with teams in the surrounding area.  The team will play in one away tournament.  Jason will arrange the schedule and that is work in progress. The season will end by Labor Day.

How Many Players will be On Team?  - depending on the number of players attending try outs, the coach may carry between 12 and 15 players including subs.  We recognize summers are busy and kids will not be able to play in every team event.
